This may be a rags to riches tale, but here goes: I got into the real estate industry in 2012. Before that, I was unlicensed and managing a real estate office. At that time I was in a super unhealthy marriage, a paycheck behind a paycheck and really struggling. I spent my days uplifting everyone around me and my nights crying myself to sleep. It was really tough.
Then I heard a quote that changed my life:
“Change the way you look at things,
and the things you look at change.”
I realized that being safe wouldn't help me grow. So I got out of my comfort zone, got my license and began my journey. I started by knocking 200 doors and holding three open houses EVERY week. And you know what? I didn’t close a house for the first four months....

...however, pure grit and determination paid off. At the end of that first year, I had sold 39 houses. The next year: 109. The next: 123. Within three years, I had become a Top 1000 Agent in the country. I’m still in the Top 1000 and No. 43 for small teams. I built my social media presence to the point where last year, I got 131 referrals from social media alone.
No more burning the candle at both ends. No more struggling to make ends meet. I failed forward back then. And now I’m living the life I designed.
